Cost effective and I hear Ikea makes a nice kitchen. You could even restain lightly to match and get the exact same countertops since those probably aren't as rare as the cabinets.

Two things I love are the couch jutting from the center of the bay windows, looks great and I would have never though of this. I can imagine laying there with a book and that amazing sunlight. Also, the balance of the art and window above the headboard. This is again a great idea for an awkward bedroom layout where you'd still like to center the bed.

I'm usually more drawn to "eclectic" rather than modern, but I want to be in that kitchen every single morning to make some coffee. I'd always have all the cups clean and up on that pretty, busy, calm wall of stuff.

sooo much to look at, maybe too much. it's great art and the clutter takes away a little from it. i love the photograph of the two young boys and the mixed leather.

i think this desk would be wonderful next to a window rather than an empty wall, if you have a window low enough
