wait staff in the midwest and south are paid $2.15-$5/hr. Don't tip them if they are assholes that provide bad service, but please tip otherwise. A good portion of wait staff are doing it temporarily to either get through school or supplement their income in hardships.
Movers and day laborers, yes, people who obviously are getting a shitty hourly wage.
Also, you should tip your hair stylist. Most people don't do this.

I think once you refinish it you may feel a little better about it. If you don't have a place for it at that point you can turn a profit and sell it to someone too lazy to restore it.

I love the kitchen wall but i think the color is overdone and not very thoughtful or planned. you can have a colorful space not be overwhelming but the bath mats and striped curtains take it over the top. There's no unity.

I find it amusing the person writing this post disposes of a kitchen sponge after a week, but will use mascara long enough for it to dry up and then want to melt it and continue use.

I lent out an antique wardrobe to a friend. Less than five months later, we had a falling out. Never saw it again. It wasn't a big deal to me because the wardrobe was damaged and the wood was fragile. It wasn't worth the trouble. With that said, I wouldn't recommend sending furniture to non-family members.

I also prefer brick unpainted. Within a few years the painted brick will show much more age than before. I'm renting a place with similar brick and my landlady told me she was wanting to paint it. I told her if she did I'd move out. The brick was what attracted me to the house initially. I'm also in a historic neighborhood and the houses that have been painted look out of place and time with the rest of the street.

the thing about decor and especially wall decor is you can do almost anything with the right pieces. it's all about balance and it is possible to hang art high so long as the room as a whole is balanced. however i haven't, until recently, been in a home with architectural elements that pushed me to hang art high.

I love art collages and the elements you are using are great but you do need a new formation.
Because of the existing furniture layout and the length of your wall it would be better to do a formation that's more vertical and also asymmetrical (since your side tables are the same size with the same lamps. it would be very dull to do a symmetrical formation.)
I find the best way to get a collage right the first time is not only put it down on paper (keeping in mind the ratio of space between each object) but laying it out on the floor directly below where you're hanging it. Since you've already goofed once a further suggestion is to cut paper the exact size and shape of each item and arrange it on the wall using tape (like painters, electrical or photography so not to pull any paint with it when removed). This way you can arrange and rearrange until your heart's content without doing any more damage to the wall.

I've been collecting pez dispensers since I was a kid and I've been trying to find a way to display them that doesn't look too geeky (like a specially made cabinet) but will still prevent them from falling over every time I touch the shelf. This is a great idea that I'm stealing...
thanks!

I can relate to the clutter bug artist friend. I'm an artist and graphic designer who just moved into a new place with my sister. All of her processions are simply necessity items, even her furniture. When I was near finished unpacking I got yelled at quite a bit for all my clutter and being a pack rat. I did successfully edit my things. Our mother visited and said it was decorated better than any other place I've lived :)

Do all of these things if you don't need your immune system.

I'm pretty clean, as in air purifier, sweep the house daily, hand wash dishes after each use. NOT bleach and sterilize every object we touch.
I'm extremely healthy. I haven't been sick in a couple of years.

Hobby Lobby frequently puts their ready frames on 50% off. I purchased a large contemporary black frame originally $60 for $30, so even with out the sell Hobby Lobby is on the list for cheap framing.
