I third the "Most Wanted" vibe.

Well, that's a huge change!

I think if the lighting were different, I would be more excited. The lighting's sort of dark and lounge-ish, when I think that the decor doesn't suggest that mood at all.

Hmm. The shelves look... broken.

Why do the curtains HAVE to stay, exactly? They're much too short, and I don't know that vintage is the way to go, if you're sporting mod MALM furniture.

I would definitely get a curtain rod that extends over both windows: 2 sets of opaque panels and some sheers to fill everything in.

I'd put some mirrors and art on the wall.

And the overhead light should go too.

Sydney - While I'm sure it's true that I use way more water and other resources than people in the third world, it's ridiculous to think that we're physically sharing the same water. I don't even use the same water as people in Maine, and they're a lot closer than India.

And really, even if it was harmful, it would just be one of the million things that we do everyday that harms someone else. Even trying NOT to hurt people hurts someone. Do what makes you happy: life is too short to sit around feeling guilty for having things.

E.O.M

John- The water that goes down the drain-- sink, toilet or tub -- gets recycled and reused. And people in other countries aren't wanting for water because we're hogging it all: they're in arid climates prone to drought and have horribly corrupt governments who won't allow for the sharing of resources.

Some people in THIS country don't have homes or food: should we all go live in the street and refrain from eating? Some people are too poor to afford internet: should we stop reading AT?

Those look like my floors!

Little freaked out by the perfect symmetry. And all the white space.

I just toss everything into a clear makeup bag that I leave in the bathroom, or throw into my purse on the go. Of course, I own maybe 3 lipstick shades (and only wear one).... so I'm probably not the target audience for this post.

Bromelia- Not everyone has an aversion to swinging feet.

Great job: it's a really lovely space.

Am I the only one who thinks we should just use the friggin' washing machine? I mean, when 98% of the nation is using them, I really doubt that this makes that big of a difference, environment-wise. World's gotta end sometime.

Boxing the radiators is a good idea.
Maybe also put something in the empty space so that it looks more intentional?

I do still have a junk drawer. Mine is definitely less "junky" than the one I grew up with though. (You never wanted to reach in there without a recently updated tetanus shot.)

Aria1 - I just assumed they were hipsters. All young hipster guys in beards and glasses look like someone's crazy dad at first glance. (Then you see the scarf around their neck, and want to punch them.)
And at 25, I can vouch for the fact that in my pjs, without makeup and heels, I look shockingly underage.

So, overall I was relieved that he wasn't wearing a stupid scarf around his neck.

Wow, some people need to get lives if they can recall every little thing that has been posted on a weblog. And then to dig it up to prove that they're right (woo! right on the internet!)... take a chill pill, dude. It's just pixels.
