What a great post! I am curious about that jar with the green lid in the fridge. What is that?

I counted recently (before moving another time), and I've moved 23 times -- mostly between the ages of 17 and 36 -- but fergmelk and kittyk definitely have me beat!

Wow, it's lovely! Tacky doesn't seem like the right word, even if you don't like it. Not sure what the detailing is called though.

It's a lovely space, but you talk about the office, so I was curious to see a pic of it. I agree with the other commenters, even for these shorter pieces, I think a few more photos are warranted!

Just 5 photos? Definitely wanted to see more and to have more of a description of the project. More info please!! Love the first 2 rooms. Love the beams and environment in the last 2. What about the rest of the house? Quite curious.

I found a vegetarian jello/gelatin mix at Whole Foods, so I'm going to give these a try. Except, instead of squares I'm going to use cookie cutters for cute shapes. Tiny stars would be fun. I bought a small circle shape. I wonder if i could get the snowflake detail. We'll see! If they are good enough, I'll give some as gifts too.

Thanks for this post. Good advice. I love books but i collect SO many of them that I agree that sometimes you can actually have too many. I have 2 sets of bookshelves and need to keep it to that. One or two cherished ones, but many things I'm waiting to read. As for decluttering, it's not in my nature, but i move every year or two and use that as a great motivation for living a less is more life!

I disagree about the knife and cutting board comments above. It's totally a hassle having the herbs go everywhere. I think this is a fab idea. It's nice to have an alternative! Thanks!

Awesome post! I'm a beginner when it comes to making bread and wanted to do baguettes for a dinner party. This weekend I'll be doing a test run. I love the no-knead bread recipe however. Super easy!

I completely agree about Limitations sometimes being a really good thing. When we are on a very tight budget, and I'm forced to dig into the back of the cupboard or freezer, we tend to eat more interesting foods and I enjoy the challenge!

People definitely have strong opinions on this matter! I really like all of the examples, though i agree less grout with more tightly spaced tiles is a good thing, and grey is better than black. The first photo is too harsh but i love all of the others! Even having lived in nyc!
