Oh that stove, the pantry slide outs, that huge dreamy island, appliance garage, all those knifes, organized utensils, flour in a drawer - what scarf? I love the long narrow flow of this room, I always try and convince myself I need a huge "everything" room to fit all I want in my kitchen, this shows it can be done well even if you have a long narrow space. I thought the picture of the "amazing wall" by Michelle McCormick was going to be one of those before and after scenarios. I was couldn't wait to see how they cleaned up that cluttered mess - but eek, that was the after. The pictures crooked, way to many nick-nacky stuff just thrown on there. When I see photo's of a house like this it confirms why I must continue to look at House Tours and learn! Whatever that "thing" is that people like Brian are born with, I marvel at it. Where is the bed from? I can't seem to find a simple upholstered bed w/ a footboard that doesn't either have buttons or something else going on to junk it up. Now to go back and look again... Did the question about the where the white credenza in the living room poster get answered? With all the focus on the Keep Calm poster and seahorse I couldn't find it. Really like your space, I'm always find inspiration from the House Tours, even if every little piece is not my style, there is always something that surprises me. In this case...the little toy soldiers - how cute. I like how you've turned an interest such as WWII into your art collection. Love the Sortie sign above the door - nice touch! Ditto on the carpet runner up the stairs. I just had a company come measure but turns out they just staple wall to wall carpet to the stairs.
