this list is making me hungry. there isn't a single food anyone has listed that I don't like! I guess I don't like brussel sprouts, but I haven't had them in a long time, so that might've changed, too.

I have some while truffle vinegar reduction, which is tasty but I can't seem to figure out what to use it on, so I have sort of unintentionally hoarded it for a while now...

the asian spoons are the best for getting olives out of the bottom of the jar, without spilling olive juice everywhere.

a friend of mine made blueberry soup for an appetizer once. while it was kind of tasty, I couldn't help thinking it would make a much better dessert than starter.

The only one I have ever bothered to watch on youtube is Good Eats. But really I watch it more because I find it hilarious than for cooking tips (Alton Brown's recipes seem to be pretty detailed on the Food Network site)

I live in a tiny dormroom and don't have any extra drawers to keep my utensils in. So I use an empty 6 pack to keep all my forks, knives, spoons, can openers, veggie peelers, etc organized.

i made this and it was great, but i found it to be REALLY salty, so I could only eat a little bit at a time. I will make it again next time using only a little salt.

The most popular cheese ball recipe in my family is actually a crab ball. And it is really easy too.
Use one package of cream cheese (I leave it out a little while to soften) and one can of crab meat. Mash it all together until it is mixed thoroughly, then form into a ball. Cover with cocktail sauce (also easy to make, it is just ketchup and horseradish). It is so awesome on crackers.

I made these the other day and they were great, just a few things:
I had to double the amount of dough to cover all the olives in a ten ounce jar, and even then I had only just enough.
I was having trouble making the dough (it was too dry) so I tried completely melting the butter and adding an extra tablespoon or two. Worked perfectly!
I used the paprika instead of cayenne. Yum yum yum.
