HUH? These large corps. are always looking for a new gimmick to sell. And did you ever notice Febreeze doesn't make anything smell nearly as pleasant as one would hope? Apartment Therapy Chicago | Refresh Paint by Dutch Boy |

I'd like to know if any of your curtain holes have torn-- I'm thinking that the flexibility of the chain could help maintain the integrity of the hole and the life of the curtain. I have had problems with these holes (or is it the person yanking on the curtain?) I am a bit surprised by the strong commentary. I find the idea more intriguing than anything else, which in my mind diminishes the bad idea factor. C'mon, do so many of have you have such perfectly appointed spaces? Plus, the discs would add a whole new dimension of light play to your loo. Apartment Therapy Chicago | CD Shower Rings by Trevor O'Neil |

Oh mi gawd-- the piney, so fresh, smelling air, -- spent summers with Grandma (Nonna) who lived in Weed, Calif, and those were some of the best summers a kid could ever have. Forts in the pine needles, scrabbling up and down the hills, swimming in Lake Shastina -- I would so much enjoy the olfactory induced memories these products would surely bring! What a super-cool collection of dual-purpose gifts--thanks for bringing these options to light! The warm fuzzy, gifty feeling from this type of spending is so real. I know I much prefer to contribute directly to improving another's life than to a corporate bottom line. I'm so past overdue for a new cutting board -- last one was plastic and got too close to the heat when oven was on--and I would love something other than the (ugh!) plate I've been using to chop up all the green veggies to make my lasagna red and green! ..and there's some interesting stuff happening at Open Studio Project next door to where I live in Evanston. If I wasn't such a wallflower, I'd know more about it. But in general, they do have classes that cost some money, a membership you can acquire, and they rent studio space, as well. Apartment Therapy - DIY Classes: Art |

The one-way mirror design is an excellent idea. While squirrels seem to enjoy teasing cats who are stuck inside, birds are more nervous--but they won't be able to see the cat's head getting bigger and bigger as it's desire to capture the little birdy mounts to a fevered pitch. If I could afford this little feeder in the window, I'd try my best to open that last stuck window I just haven't bothered with and put it in place! Hot or Not? |

I think I could get addicted to these 'Imagined Life' stories...very engaging. And what a great find of a lamp to write about! The one phote that gives a hint of the ornate details, is quite a tease. I can imagine being captivated for hours (not in a row!) checking out all the little surprising details and how they work with the light, etc. An Imagined Life: Tabletop Chandelier |

OOOOOH! I don't tend towards themes, but if I did, the map theme would be a top contender. Something about a map lends an air of adventure and exploration to ...well, almost anything! There's also something very grounding about consulting maps of the physical world -- good stuff to have around. Theme Room: Maps |

I love that you didn't think breed specific when going canine with your designs, because I find most all dogs adorable. The variety of doggie inspired design is also quite refreshing. Not your usual fare--and I have a good notion of what's out there -- my mama is dog crazy so I've perused quite a bit of doggie themed stuff. Theme Room: Dogs |

What a heart tugger! Wasn't expecting that--glad to see that I wasn't the only one who got weepy reading this sofa's imagined past! Also makes me sad that almost none of my furniture has a story to tell. An Imagined Life: Pink '50s Sofa |
