Well, they also forgot what "apartment" means! I am just about over this site since they seem to feature houses an awful lot. I agree about "hack". Not mesmerized by folks who can use spray paint!

It might seem selfish...but I put mine next to my bed. It makes me feel loved to have flowers first thing in the morning and flowers to wish me good night. I get a big bouquet and snatch the first and best for the bedside table. Then I use small vases in the bathroom and on the coffee table.

Just at the right time! I am MAJORLY downsizing from a two bedroom apartment to a 17 foot trailer to get my son through college and I will need all the help I can get.
I admit I will have a small storage unit to keep the stuff I can't get rid of...like baby pictures and my vintage Christmas stuff.

I can tell you that the moss will NOT injure a brick wall. Ivy and creeping fig can lead to the demise of brick and Mortar for sure. I often use this slurry to start moss between pavers and also I do the outsides of clay pots. Try soaking terra cotta pavers in water and then starting your moss there. I used these at a party for chargers on a table. Recently I am experimenting with moss growing on wet burlap. I live in SUNNY San Diego and miss the quiet grace of a space made dark and cool by moss.

You folks are amateurs!!! Lol! I lived for four years in a 150 square foot travel trailer! My rule-and it still holds true: One thing in two out.
Now I live in a huge 600 square feet with my teen age son and two tiny finches...and we are happy as clams!

Oh, and additionally used up lemons and crushed ice clean out a stinky garbage disposal if you run it through together!

I stick to a rule that is helping me de clutter...If I go to the swap meet and buy three things then when I get home six things must go. It can be little stuff or big. I always seem to find someone who needs the stuff I am tripping over and choking my creativity with. I have really pared down my possessions to the point I own them rather than them owning me!

As an interior designer with her own mobility issues, I LOVE THIS. I get sooo sick of the excruded "accessible design" places I visit! It seems if you are handicapped in any way you give up style funk and fun. Wrongo bongo! This place rocks!
And by the way..French linens are quite lovely..I was married to a French man just so I could have his linens!!! Just let your friend who busted you smell them after they have air dried and been neatly ironed..ooh la-la!

The apartment I live in now is very very cheap!
The landlord will do no repairs and when the sink clogged he refused to fix it. I called a plumber and he came out. It turned out that the neighbors below were dumping their grease into the sink drain and it clogged my pipes! I still had to pay. My fridge broke and of course...he wouldn't replace it!
But...I tore out the poo stained carpet and re-finished the wood floors which are now beautiful. I will soon replace the front door which has peeling veneer. I can do whatever I want as the landlord already told me I would never get my deposit back due to removing the carpet. I am currently re-tiling the back splash with found tiles. I can't do anything about my gross neighbors who have dumped a couch and three upholstered chairs in the yard. They have frequent fiestas and then barf/pee/poo on my front porch.
But once inside my house it is very clean and cute. I have learned to live with crap all around me....if I didn't have this cheap place I would be living on the street!
I agree with everyone...carpet is absolutely filthy and gross.
