The serif font and size in the body copy is really really hard on my eyes and jarring to read. Centered headline fonts are also jarring to read. Overall, the flow of reading the articles isn't as smooth as it was with the previous font combination (I actually find myself getting a headache!). I used to browse AT daily and quite often during the week, but it's now so hard to read that I won't be coming here like I used to. I also used to visit The Kitchn several times a day but I won't be doing that either for the same reasons. I do love the photos, though--you guys always have a good selection and size of photos.

And for those of us who are *extremely* anal retentive... we can print out a hard copy for our cook book binders (you all have one, right?) and a PDF so we can keyword search on our computers (you all do this too, right?).

Wow, this article (and some of the comments) sure seems to be a negative slam on contractors. Perhaps there should be a counter-article written on the piss-poor researching of licensed, recommended contractors on the part of the homeowner who's probably trying to save a few bucks by hiring on the cheap and/or under the table. You get what you pay for. Do your research.
