Shower Curtains: Long or Short?
1/9/12 6:02 PM

Due to the layout of my bathroom, a long curtain is impossible. My vanity cabinet is tight to the side of my tub so there was no way to fully close a long curtain. I ended up hemming my fabric shower curtain to just skim the top of the tub and I have a clear liner that runs long inside of the tub. This allows the curtain to close all of the way without water escaping and I find that I really like the look. It's very tailored and clean lookin - plus no dust bunnies or hair sticking to the bottom of the curtain!

I have a roman blind on my kitchen window as well. I really love it. That first pic is gorgeous!

C - because it's the only one I would put in my home and I ALWAYS like the most expensive item in a group!

Dykes Lumber carries all of their moulding in flexible form. Their catalog is online at:

http://www.dykeslumber.com/

For those of you on the west coast, Disney's Moulding Dept. sells to the public and has a lot of flex-mould options. I had heard a rumor recently that Disney sold their moulding catalog, though. I'm not sure as I haven't been working on the west coast in several years, but it's worth checking out.

Thanks for the suggestions so far!

manu_pty - my space is narrow, but not narrow enough to go with out a coffee table/ bench or something. I like the idea of ceramic stools - I hadn't thought of that.

femmeke - great idea about chopping down a console.

honey living - I am definitely open to two small tables. Just haven't found the right thing!

p(too) - I'll definitely look at R & B custom options. I haven't really explored that. It's funny, I sort of felt the same way you do about the Stash, I didn't look twice at it in the catalog, but for some reason when I saw it in person my whole perception of it changed and I fell in love!

Laina - that's exactly what I was afraid of. Nice to hear from someone who owns the table.

Thanks again and I look forward to seeing what else you come up with!

The chairs are stacked in the shape of a Christmas tree. There is even a star at the top.

I like the silhouettes.

I've been trying to talk my boss into letting me use a ball for a chair - my Aeron chair is too big for me and therefore very uncomfortable. I often sit on a ball at home. Gaiam has a version with castors that they have been making for years.

This is so strange that people get weird looks for bringing their own bag. I usually get a thank you from the cashier!

STLcolleen: Target does have their own branded, reusable bags. I have a few that my mom gave to me. I just saw some for sale at the Target in Brooklyn last week.

oki - they do sell fresh cranberries in California. You'll probably have the most luck at Trader Joe's or Henry's or something along those lines.

If you like stainless steel, Canal Plastics sells metalized adhesive-backed plastic that comes in rolls. It would be the same idea as contact paper, but with a nice brushed stainless look.

I think the tiles are lovely. I would definitely paint the walls a different color, though. I think the cream color in the tile would look fantastic and really bring out the warmth of the wood, while keeping the space bright.

Good luck!

This is too funny. My family didn't have the Corelle, but I remember lots of friends parents who had this growing up. My parents had Mikasa with wheat and flowers on the center of the plates - I hated it, even as a child! Mom has moved on to Fiestaware and I'm still using a set purchased from Target in undergrad. Maybe I should do something about that one of these days . . .
