Looks like a house you want to hang out on a casual Saturday afternoon...so comfortable and inviting. I love the galvanized planter in backyard - very original! The outdoor chalk board outdoors for the kids is a great idea. I would love to do that here in Rochester, NY but, unfortunately, we have this thing called winter.

I agree with DRMMSSP...risers get scuffed up and scratched all the time. White will highlight these marks all the more.

Very sweet nursery...I especially like the cable knit shade although I wish there was a better picture of it.

I like the red table - where is it from?

Beautiful brick work throughout and the windows are fantastic. If it was me, I would move the wall currently between the living room & kitchen to just after the kitchen. That would give more privacy in the bedroom and not "close off" the living room so much. That's just my opinion though.

One more thing I love...that dining table!! I have never seen anything like it with the strip of grass in the middle. Clever and original!

I'm not a fan of concrete walls but they have made it feel cozy and comfortable. I especially love the tall urns filled with plants in the living room, the rustic end table and, of course, the outdoor living space. They are so lucky to have that!

My husband and I love kohlrabi fries. You just cut them into steak-fry size, saute in butter in a skillet until fork tender, remove them from the heat and sprinkle with chili powder while they're still hot. So delicious!!!

Just thought of something else - what do you if you're interested in a sofa/chair/mattress that someone is sprawled out on on and sound asleep? Is it proper etiquette to wake them or do you have to wait until they're done with their nappy time? ;-)

Absolutely gorgeous!! I can feel your pain because I just refinished a dining table that had been painted and spent many hours stripping, sanding and staining. A lot of work but well worth it. You should be extremely proud of your perseverance!

If I saw someone sound asleep in a furniture store, I would think it's strange. I've never seen it but, hey, if Ikea encourages it, why shouldn't they make themselves at home? I wonder if they wake up people who are snoring loudly? If that's the case, I could never take my husband to an Ikea store in China.

I like the navy walls in the dining area. I'm never brave enough to use dark colors but this looks elegant and relaxed at the same time. Well done!

We love their plantain chips, watermelon-cucumber juice (makes a great summer drink if you add gin or vodka), and fresh mango salsa!
