Nancy33Cats: I hadn't even thought about it until you mentioned it, but there's no telling how many times having a waste can in the bathroom has saved me from vomiting in the floor when I've been very ill (sorry for the graphic picture, there). Mine does have a lid as I'm one who greatly prefers to not see what others throw in there, nor do I need them to see what I throw out, but it is easily removed if need be. I have been to homes where there was no waste can and it's NOT fun. I've also been to homes where there was no towel to dry your hands on; and worst of the worst, one guy I knew had a bathroom that had no actual door to the room, only a shower curtain! This was especially uncomfortable when company was over.

I think this is my favorite tour ever of a studio, both layout and design wise. Perfect!

I love so much about this! A lot of ingenuity and perspiration went into this, you can tell; and the result is a place that looks designer and would've cost a heap o' dough if you didn't DIY it. Kudos!

P.S. What is in that box-like area with the orange folding doors? Is it a closet?

Loved the master bedroom; the color scheme, the headboard, the linens on the bed, the dresser-I want them all.

I have a cheaper version of the original table also, and it has definitely seen better days. Nice to know I have options, and that it can be updated to look so modern. Love.

I don't know if you did all this yourself, Lisa; but if so, you have an ability to pick and combine colors and just the right graphic elements that is just wondrous. Every rug is perfection. All the art, incredible. One of my fav tours ever. Not usually a fan of darker colors, but that blue in the living room just really reached out and grabbed me. And those white on white portraits in the stairwell-want!

When I was growing up, my grandmother always gave us subscriptions to magazines, like Ranger Rick (do they still have that?) and other nature mags for kids. The pictures were beautiful, we learned about animals and nature, and we really looked forward to getting our own 'mail' once or twice a month. Since there were 6 children in our family, I'm sure this was an economical choice for her; and we thought of her all year long, as we were enjoying our magazines.

I think it looks like there is just enough clearance for the oven door to open just shy of the end of the sideboard, and then you would stand next to the sideboard to remove things from the oven. Don't forget, perspective is not always what is seems in photos. This remodel is amazing; 1000% better than before!

So serene and elegant; and such a masterful hand at mixing the old with the new. There are so many things I covet here, lol. I especially love how you used the narrow little bench to turn your hallway into an entry/mud room.

I adore the relaxed, bohemian vibe of this home. And there are so many unique and interesting touches everywhere-love that alpaca and the denim cloud mobile! Also the airplane desk and the tacco sign, along with everything in the kitchen area. I'd love to see at least one wall painted a brighter color in the living room, plus more color in the little boy's room (but this is just my personal taste.) One of my favorite tours, overall.

I agree with you, S.J.P. I adore that bed, the throw on it, the nightstands and lamps. Yes, it's a look that's been done before, but it's a fabulous one! Where I live, almost no one decorates with any sense of style and a place like this would be considered magazine-worthy, so I say, well done!
