I can't help but wonder if having an open compost bin attracts flies. I know in the summer at my house, we have to take the trash out and empty the sink drain of gunk religiously so that we don't get fruit flies.

This is definitely the opposite in our house, too. Sometimes (pretty seldom, though) the husband has to tell me the baby's crying (I tend to incorporate it into my dreams). I happily get up during the night with the baby, because if he gets up, he will lay awake staring at the ceiling for the rest of the night. I am usually back asleep as soon as my head touches the pillow.

I wouldn't pay more than $250 for it.

I think this is a fun idea for a party, but I can also say that it's not for me.

We're not finding out the sex of our baby because it is not that important to us. We would buy the same clothes/bedding/whatever for a female baby as we would for a male.

Our child will develop their own gender identity, and we want as little outside influence on what that turns out to be as possible, which was the main reason we did not want to find out. The baby will be inundated with all sorts of social cues about gender presentation after he or she is born without having to have all sorts of "things" in the nursery telling him or her this as well.

Wedding china? What's that? :)

I like the patterned shelves, and I like the color-coded books, but not necessarily together. :) This looked more appealing to me from above. From below, it's a little busy.

Bunnies are very different than cats and dogs.

They really should not be kept in a cage all the time, and can make quite a mess when they roam free. If you like "everything in its place," they may not be right for you.
