Hope a article show on inspirational rooms with beige floors and walls.

Wall to wall carpet beige carpet. If I had wood floors life would be beautiful.
One day~ However I know know matter how softly I walk the neighbors below me would hate me and my floors.

And I know it ask for 'one thing' but I will also say my lament(sp) counter tops. They are peeling and just hideous. Everything else, included my off white walls I can live with.

I love the after and want that kitchen! However I actually like the green cabinets. The titles and everything else would go but those cabinets I would try to make work. XD

I'm like the author of this article.

I always take my shoes offs when I get home, don't even think about it since it's just habit now. At the same time I don't even think about other people shoes. Today I had 2 sells reps come over and the idea of them having them take their shoes off never crossed my mind. It's a great thing to do, especially since I have rental wall to wall beige carpet.

My work is right across the highway from Ikea, and 15 mins from my apartment. SUPER CLOSE and as such I am a expert at navigating the store. Still every time I go I always ditch my heels for some walking shoes. I spend a lot of time there just for fun.

I have two of these in my bedroom walk in closet (which is always opened).

Even though no one ever goes into it I still like the boxes out of sight.

Yay, I'm so glad this article did not say anything about not having the pets on the bed. My two cats sleep with me nightly, as soon as I hop into bed they jump to their respective spots and are there when I wake up.

For me I have two cat beds on top of my bed where they sleep.

My only issue is when I make my bed, my kitties love to "help" with that and unless I close my non-existing bed room door they look at the sheets with pure fun joy.

I don't have kids so just reading about the Snotsucker I almost threw up. Even now makes me want to gag. There has to be another way. D: *Goes back and tries to read the rest without puking*

I lived in one of these on my last tour to Iraq. 6 people per sleeping container and they were not bad, much better then a tent and we had electricity! Even worked in one *no AC* but again kept the sand out while I'm sweating to death.

But because of my military experience I have a hard time wanting to ever live in one again. I know I seen images of really pimped out designs and it looks like a nicer mobile home that's not mobile, but it's just not for me.

Last year I moved to Utah and it's the first place I lived with snow! One of my first winter purchases was a Boot Tray and I love it. Today came home, boots (Army) covered in snow and mud and they have a place to go. Which is good cause I rent and like that I don't get mud all over my wall to wall beige carpet.

I have never been a fan of displaying pots and pans on the wall. Just the rusted look and clutter drives me insane. The only one I like out of the examples is # 8, it looks clean, organized and like everything is in it's place.

For me my pots and pans are hidden away, I don't have much room so I limit myself to just a few essential pots and pants. 2 pots, 3 pans is all I can fit, thankful I don't ever cook more than 3 items at a time so this works for me.

I keep my place pretty clean but I admit with 2 cats my furniture gets covered in lots of fur.
So if I have a short time to clean these are my 3 things I try to do.
1. I can't recall the actual item name but it's very common, that rolling tape to get the fur off my couch and couch pillows. As well as my dining room tables since that's where my boyfriends (who enjoys showing up with little notice) likes to sit.
2. The toilet and sink get a quick wipe down. Sink especially since I tend to get lots of hair in there.
3. Vacuum my living room carpet. I have a black rug which all things dirty show up fast.

With those 3 things done I feel good about showing off my place. Dishes I usally stay on top of but in those rare rare occasions I'll just put them in my sink. The oven idea sound better since I don't have to worry about putting the dishes in a organize fashion. Thanks for the tip!

This year will be the first year I'm going to cook a turkey, hell I never cooked a full bird of any kind in my life before! I know I'm going to screw it up some how but hopefully it will still be semi-editable.

*Is it strange I want to try cooking a turkey before Thanksgiving just for a test run? I'm buying a wonderful range free bird (co-worker raises them) but thinking of getting a cheap store brand one just for practice. If anyone wants free meat come to my place!

I don't have kids so seeing that destruction made my heart drop into my stomach.
But I got to say the after blew me away! So amazing the transformation and love your ability to over come and adapt to a otherwise stressful situation.

Hopefully the other cushions don't get destroyed cause I like the 'every other cushion' patten look.

Great job.

The wall to wall beige carpet for me.
But I rent an apartment so nothing can be done. Plus I live on the top floor so I'm sure the people below me are grateful that I do have carpet as a sound bearer.

One of the things I want to have if I ever buy a house is get wood floor. DREAM~

Another thing about my floor is that there is a creaky spot. You step on it and it's loud, and again I always wonder if the people below me get annoyed if they hear it. It's right at my front door so that spot can't be avoid.

I have a tiny kitchen so I only have two appliances out, since they are used almost daily. My Mr.Coffee Maker and my Microwave. One of my small real estate of counter space goes to spices (I don't have a pantry!) and the other space by my sink I keep free to prep or to plug in the occasional kitchen appliance.

I think if I had a large kitchen I would not have too much on display, but I would love to pick up a kitchen-aid if I had the room for it.
