I love the after! Especially the windows.

Remember, they are SELLING this house.......as a buyer I would appreciate the "after" because it shows off the structure of the room and brings the outdoors inside.

I just noticed this......unless your coffeemaker has never made coffee, I don't believe you have ever made, drank, or served tea from one.

Black and White. A white shower curtain with a black design. A big long runner or rug in B&W. Paint the window frame gloss black. I can't see the sink, but if it's a cabinet you can paint, gloss black. Any picture frames in black with white mats. Any "furniture" in black.
White for containers, towels.

Sigh........when I was a kid I'd get SO UPSET every Christmas because my mother would leave these out for Santa. I begged to leave Twinkies, instead, but she ALWAYS left a plate of these out.

It wasn't until I was in my 20's that I figured out WHY......., LOL

This is incredibly silly. Are the non-washers throwing away their cutting boards, knives, marinade dishes, etc for fear of rinsing them before putting in the dishwasher or washing by hand??

We're bringing home plenty of chicken and meat juice just by going to the grocery store, btw. I worked at one for ten years.....most people do not put their drippy meat packages in plastic bags. They drip all over the shopping carts and the checklanes. I won't mention how unsanitary children are...

Think about that when you put your unbagged bananas, melons, broccoli, in your cart. Or when you put your orange juice carton in the fridge when you get home.

My BF worked in Atlanta for a year and lived in a hotel room with a kitchenette. The monthly rate was the same as a 1-bedroom, but everything was included.

It was pretty sweet.

I get nostalgic, because now I live with him in an apartment in Pittsburgh, and we've got all the bills and no maid service, LOL

Funny how hosts assume that their guests are actually washing their hands after using the toilet, or haven't picked up something disgusting on their clothes after riding the subway, taking a taxi.

What do you do when your guest hands you a bottle of wine they bought at the store where they touched the filthy door and handled filthy money.

Guests are shaking hands!

And now they're handling your serving spoons!

But I guess it's fair....they're spreading all kinds of funk around your house, even without shoes........but they get to take home all your sweaty feet and dog funk.

Purples are a kind of "neutral" in that they really do go with just about anything.

As do greens.

I would eliminate the back cushions, entirely. Upholster the seat and use a few loose pillows against the back. The seat will seem roomier.

Get chair pads to match the window seat upholstery. I think a black and white awning-stripe would look great, and the pillows in the window seat in a couple different black and white geometrics and florals.

Install bead board (?) wainscotting (?) along the back of the seat, and down in front.

I'd replace the table. I know the way the top moves is novel, but to me it would feel like being in a motor home or camper.

Can the grids in the side windows be removed?

I've been waiting at least a decade for the granite-and-stainless trend to die.

White is perfect. It can be anything you want it to be. Antique, vintage, mid-century mod, hi-tech, french, italian, american, retro diner, coastal, metro, midwest.

And you can SEE what you're doing in a white kitchen.
