Hehehe @ the top picture. The burner isn't on and there isn't anything in the pot, no steam, nothing. It's a well put together shot, but the composition would have been complete if she'd actually been cooking. Talented at design, yes she is.

I get things like soba sauce, gyoza wrappers, high quality buckwheat soba noodles, unagi and assorted sushi cuts when I'm in the mood for it and SAKE! It's fun to drink ramune and pick out other drinks where you can't read the label and try them. When I shop the "pocari sweat" package always makes me giggle. Also can't forget the hombow. They have some neat housewares but for the most part the housewares are over priced.

The best thing that works for me is sleeping with a frozen 2 liter of water in a pillow case. We call them "Ice Babies". Keeping something cold close to your chest helps ward off the heat as opposed to something on your extremities, which then gets reheated at the center of your body. This works really well for two people sleeping together. I live in Seattle and my roomie came up with it during the record heat last year.
