I have to say one thing - this all looks like stuff I saw MONTHS ago on this site and Pinterest. Nothing original. Disheartening. ICFF 2013: Best of New Lighting |

We live on the first floor, which is good because of our health problems. The complex has the parking lot around us and just installed a new (small) dog park right outside our window. I washi-taped our blinds to add interest because we're required to keep the back of them white and up no matter what. So, when we need them closed, we have them closed but have something interesting on them. A Sudden Lack Of Privacy: How Do You Handle It? |

Play all the music the ex didn't like that you always loved. Play stuff from high school, stuff from your childhood. Put TV shows on that he didn't like or movies he wouldn't watch. Have more than just the visual change, light candles in scents you like and he didn't. There's a LOT to do where you can reclaim and enjoy the parts of yourself you no longer have to sublimate! There are a million places to get this. Fab.com sells them on the cheap every few months, too. I hate that everything is linked to Amazon on this site. And I have one of these and like it just fine. I've lived in all sorts of weather. Just charge it up a few extra days and enjoy it when it's time for fun, Catalinan. Sun Jar by Tobias Wong |

Oh, my Lord. Please listen to the poor woman. That color in a cramped space would drive me nuts. I use contact paper on tiles in the shower. If you want to just go with white contact paper, or black, or whatever, it WILL stick and deal with humidity (I live near DC, land of the muggy). Home Depot sells it pretty cheaply. I just realized my favorite room divide was in my sorority house. It was a loft for half of the very small room so that the top half was a living area and the bottom (which was really 3/5ths) was mattresses on the floor. We had curtains on shower rings to close off our Twin XL's. The rest of the room was desks and dressers. For a 10' x 15' room, it was a lot of space. And you could sort of sound-proof your sleep area. I miss that sometimes... How To Design Shared Bedroom For Two Single Ladies? Good Questions |

I was bouncing my legs up and down while I read this, but as someone who's generally overstimulated, the idea gave me the creeps. I don't want something creeping out of a pillow. It's either in the pillow or not. If it wasn't going to emerge like a separate entity, I think I'd be ok with it. But hey, they're going for a weird market, they're facing weird feedback. Good on them to try and help! Huhu Pillow by Cool Enough: Design for Fidgeters |

A few years ago, I brought a portable DVD player with lots of 1/2 hour TV shows to a friend because she didn't have the attention span for a whole movie after going through some unfun stuff. She said it was perfect and had her husband get her more shows. Home Away From Home: Making a Hospital Stay More Comfortable |

I'm in DC. Want someone to mail you a few blossoms to the AT address? (Also, I hate this time of year here because of my terrible allergies.) Missing Washington, D.C. in Cherry Blossom Season |

I talked a friend into putting a TV up high so that her kids weren't sitting RIGHT ON IT. They had to sit on a couch across the room. It's a big TV. There's no reason to sit 6" from it. The Home Theater Mistake We Keep Seeing Over and Over Again |
