I love everything in the picture EXCEPT the dresser. I agree that the pattern is a fun way to jazz up the dresser but by just putting it on the one drawer and not balancing it anywhere else it just makes it look unfinished and awkward. I think maybe if you painted the bottom drawer one of the colors from the pattern that might help? It might be as easy as doing something fun with the knobs on the dresser. Anyway fun idea in general.

I think if you took the time to stitch all of the rolls of film together it could be really cool for curtains although than it would be pretty rigid and, as it is in the photo I'm not digging it.

I went on vacation for a week and asked a friend to watch my girlfriend and my cat. We said he could hang out a bit in the house and have maybe 1 other mutual friend over as well. When we got home there was a candle left burning in the living room, beer cans all over the pace, and an apple turned into paraphernalia upstairs. Just goes to show if you have a second thought about someones character chances are they'll prove you right. Last time we'll be doing that

Usually I just grumble about it to my girlfriend but I do write a letter or say something somewhat often I guess. My two latest were:

1. A sushi restaurant that me and my g/f have gone to many times but hadn't been there recently. It was obvious that their menu quality had gone down considerably since the last time we had been there(about a year or so) but the prices were the same. After trying to eat about half the food I just was disgusted and brought it up to the waitress and eventually the manager who was very apologetic and comped the meal. I might give it one more try because of this

2. I was on a business trip and staying at a hampton inn it rained that night and the ceiling started drippin directly above my bed quite a lot. enough to soak 75% of my bed and ruin my sleep. When this issue was brought up to the people at the counter in the morning they simply laughed it off and said that they new that room had had those problems before. Sending a letter to corporate got me a refund for the room, unfortunately it was under company credit so I didn't get anything for the ordeal :(

My landlords are pretty good. They are super nice and I usually end up chatting with them for 15 minutes when I drop off my rent. The only problem is they are very much the stereotypical quick fix people. Instead of taking the time to fix it so it doesn't happen again they just do a little quick fix until it gets to be a huge problem and they end up having to do it the right way anyway. The best example of this was my first apartment before I moved up to the nicer upstairs one. They had just retiled the bathroom due to the fact that the floor underneath was rotting. I knew nothing about this but had had a few of the tiles simply snap in half underneathe me from basic standing pressure. The tenants after me found later about the rotting floor and the landlord had to tear up the whole floor and redo it in the end anyway.
