Hi Genya, Keystone is great. Prices are great to, especially consdering they are solid wood. They offer black and white paint as well. If you order them, do so without the hinge counterbores, as they may not match the ikea 32mm hole spacing. You can buy a hole-borer template at most big box hardware stores, or at Woodcraft online. That way you can position the hinges exactly to match the holes in the IKEA bases. They deliver within 4 to 6 weeks or so. Apartment Therapy New York | Roomark: Kevin's Total Kitchen Remodel |

There is lots of storage below, the cabinets have huge wide and deep drawers...you are not seeing the below cabinets under the bar area. There is also a pantry off the right side of the room with floor-to-ceiling cabs. I don't care for upper cabinets in kitchens, I prefer open storage, and tall walls of tile. But that's just me :-) Apartment Therapy New York | Roomark: Kevin's Total Kitchen Remodel |

als1, I do not have a website detailing the renovation. AT is considering running a House Tour of the house, but I have to take some more photos for them to really get a beefy story...at some point I will try and and do a website with some photos I have taken! My oh my....more more this is making me feel so good today. To answer your question Lili...yes you can make this for a room with no electrical box. You would get a long enough lamp cord to travel across the ceiling and down to an outlet. Get a plug end you can install yourself at the end of the cord. They have them at the hardware store. Staple the cord to the ceiling and along the wall, or to a corner of the room and down the corner. There are many kinds of staples that are made for this, I prefer the staples that have a plastic part on it to protect the wire. There are also "staples" that are all plastic with self adhesive. Make sure you get a cord that will blend in with your wall and ceiling color or paint it afterword. I prefer the lamp cord that is clear, is it blends in the best. Remember to get an inline switch to install on the cord somewhere. They have ones that can dim as well. Lights should always be dim-able, in my opinion. Also, let your wood dry out and prime it well before painting.... Apartment Therapy San Francisco | A Reader DIY How-To: Tree Branch Chandelier |

Hi JOliver, yes it is hardwired. There is a lamp cord (bought at your hardware store by the foot) that is wired to each candelbra socket (also sold at your hardware store), and then run up one of the support wires. The wires are then attached to the power feed inside the ceiling box, just like any chandelier would be, with wire nuts.
