My husband and I fell in love with the Sophie Conran dishes back when we were dating because I love white dishes and he loves texture. Perfect mix of both. They were the first thing on our registry when we got engaged and we are still loving them now that we have them. Yay that they are on the list! Amazon has them for varying prices, sometimes you can get a deal.

I had forgotten about those escalators in Budapest, but now that you've reminded me, they are super scary to get on and off. Awesome though.

I'm glad someone mentioned the City Hall station in New York. NYC subways actually have a lot of nice details if you look for them, they've just mostly been allowed to rot. It's too bad really.

This will probably happen to me one day. I live in an apartment in a 1920 townhouse with original floors and woodwork but NO MANTELS! Someone along the way ripped them out and walled over the fireboxes. I'd love to get new ones from the right time period. Even without a working fireplace they'd be so pretty....

Garage/yard sales in upscale neighborhoods! You'd be amazed how often people replace perfectly good, high quality patio furniture. We got a whole wrought iron set, table and six chairs, with umbrella, for $70 last summer.

@SamanthaD - I had that set-up in my old kitchen. I used an ikea Ekby Jarpen shelf with Ekby Bjarnum brackets. I cut the shelf to size and screwed the brackets right into the window frame (it was really wide, the actual widow was too small for the space I think). I loved it and my plants did too.

@Amanda J I believe it was from a sale on The Foundary last year. I'm not sure what the actual brand is if there is one. It's sort of a knock-off of an old West Elm design.

@lisa.m.ware Believe me, I'd love to!

Thanks for the love everyone! This is fun!

@Rouge Stella the wicker bins are from Ikea but I got them from a friend so I'm not sure what they're called or if they even sell them anymore :( I love them though, I don't need a dust ruffle (ugh) and they are small enough to leave some space and light under the bed.

@suzytheobserver Honestly it's not ideal. My fiancé sleeps on that side usually but I tried once and I was cold. I'm not sure what the right solution is, maybe the other window but it's far away.

@EstherH Thank you!! The duvet/shams are from DwellStudio. I coveted them forever before finally making the splurge.

And we'd love to show off the rest...maybe one day...
