I have to admit that there is some mix-up of cleaning fluids and bottles of oil and vinegar under my kitchen sink, even after decluttering. But these oil bottles are just to tall to fit in the cupboards overhead, and I do need to have some cleaning stuff on hand in the kitchen.
But you've made me think about this and I will definitely change this - just have to think HOW.

@Carol - You are so right about stuff languishing on the shelves. I have just reorganized my "pantry" which is actually a refurbished bathroom, and I came across lots of stuff that I bought (often while abroad) that I've never used. I really will try and use some of this stuff in the coming weeks!

I have more than 200 cookbooks and five big binders with recipe cutouts from newspapers and magazines.
I find it very very difficult to throw out or give away cookbooks; I keep buying cookbooks that I love for my daughter and for friends.
OK, so I am not cooking from every cookbook. And yes, I never follow a recipe exactly. But I just love reading cookbooks, gathering ideas, thinking about food.
To learn about different cultures through food is a wonderful thing and some weeks, we make a world trip, just by having meals from all over the world!

I am really excited to begin this cure! Hope to get lots of tips about how to improve things - I am a real hoarder and find it difficult to throw things out. Even though I have average to good cupboard space, food and crockery is everywhere...

My faves:

Nigella Lawson - Nigella bites
Nigel Slater - Appetite
Jocasta Innes - The pauper´s cookbook
Jamie Oliver - Happy days with the naked chef
And of course my four big binders with recipes collected over the past 30 years; I have loved cooking ever since I was in highschool.

Even though I own lots of cookbooks, I keep buying them, and love discovering new authors such as Tessa Kiros
