It's hard to tell from the pic, are their lights/decorative lights over the kitchen counter? Maybe add a cool counter lamp here near the wall and adjacent to the dining table- I would consider adjustable track wall washers running along the sofa wall for art, and possibly a small Eileen Gray table to the dining side of the sofa with an accompaning sleek floor lamp and use candles for the dining room table.
