A down day for me= sleeping in. When I work, I am up at 4:30 am, knitting, snacking, maybe watching tv(Deadliest Catch). No chores or Internet/No news. Walking and paying attention to my dog. Mainly knitting, that is my therapy.

I love this place. Especially the layout of the place. I have been a fan of this site for a long time. I have lived in a cramped apt. Now in a mobile, more room but I still have trouble with arranging furniture. I cant afford to go out and buy all new stuff to fit this space.
I just love how all these entries show such perfect fit with all their furniture. I have tried the paper-grid and the on-line methods, still......does not speak to me like this places. I just keep reading and learning. This place should have been in the small cool contest.

Loved the dark paint color in the bedroom and that is all, I feel sorry for the baby that has to live in this cold house, definitely not child friendly, even his name is stiff. Is his nickname "Woody". Sorry, I could not resist. This is one of the worst house tours I have seen. It is the most negative comments I have ever made, please don't use this forum to push a company's wares, that's what your ads are for.

I must have scrolled thru this sideshow 20 times, I loved the nooks and crannies.
I lived in an awesome Victorian as a child. With a servants backstairs hidden away.
I just realized I try to create nooks wherever I live. The last 2 places I lived, I had no room to set up a creative space. I almost went crazy. I am in a process of creating my creative space now. I am newly inspired. Love the colors, the use of space, the 50's-60's theme. Way to go girl!

I am a dog person, grew with dogs. My brother is the cat person, his shorthairs do not bother me, but if I come near a long-hair I have a immediate asthma attack. Netflex has the TV show"My Cat from Hell." I love that show, I understand cats better now. My son uses the slow blink and floor level greeting with his friend's nasty cat and it works. That cat is a different feline when he is around. Lol,

Hate the chairs, they lowered the property value of the room. I loved the rest of the room.

The house is too stark for my taste Although I liked the symmetrical layout in the living room. . Julliette's room is the best room, It looks cozy, because of the wall color I liked the whimsical touches, like the dolls, which are crocheted, not rag. Her bed set-up is wonderful.

Thumbs down on the scrolling, seems a lazy way not to just caption the pictures individually. the book pile looks bad and is bad for the books, they will warp with out proper
support. How do you find the tome you need? If you do this you might as well get rid of them.

She would love this post, she is a great baker and a great hostess, I have to ask how many dishes she has.LOL In reference to the Dollar Stores, yes they have good dishes, has anyone thought to use chasers, Colored ones under the white ones or vice versa. Then you are never bored. But you don't have to buy 160.Some people it is dishes,others.....I am currently buying a place, homeowner is a senior, she is leaving me Hundreds of glassware, I never saw so many pieces of glassware, expect in a store. . I plan to part the stuff out to friends etc.

I agree with Muesli, try to use tape or glue the raw edges toward the back.so they do not show. It is a great idea. Compliment the idea by taking the time to finish it neatly.

Looks as though your landlord never heard of the kitchen triangle. I would try to have him switch the stove and the washer. But if he won't, do not hang curtains up there, a fire hazard. I would just hide the electrical box with a print or a poster. Shelves up there would be awkward, you may bump your head and would be hard to reach.
I would concentrate on the table area.Sounds like you want food prep more than seating. That black box looks like the fridge. It is counter height, I would remove the table, move the fridge down where the table is now. If you want to DIY, the landlord may agree, you are making it better for him, build a box around it. As as long as you want and still be able to access the cabinets/ microwave. You could close it in with doors or leave it open and put shelves and baskets underneath. I would not put it in the middle of the room, because of all the doors and getting to the stove would be a little tight. Or you could make it "L" shape with the fridge underneath and put stools on the opposite side.
Then you would have everything, storage, eating and prep area.
