If you watch tv avidly, Put your sofa on the wall with two windows and your tv across the room on the opposite wall... I wouldn't put it over the fireplace because the angle for watching is too high, and if u put the tv between the windows it really limits your seating... By putting a sofa on the wall with two windows and the tv across the room, it allows you to be able to fill the gap with ottomans/tables/chairs for more seating while still keeping the fireplace as a focal point.... Just make sure your tv is the correct size for the viewing distance

Judging by your pictures and your options, I would say option 2... But place both chairs opposite the couch either perpendicular or facing like in option 1. That way the seating area is relegated to one side of the room and your walkway to the kitchen and hall way is kept clear... Also leaves room for you to have a tv on the wall between the kitchen and hallway if its a flat screen... Just an idea!
