I live in a small Victorian Terrace house where you have to walk through the kitchen to get from the lounge/dining room to the bathroom + I have no dishwasher and a single bowl sink. I work from home and sometimes there's enough time to make lunch but not enough time to wash the dishes as well. If I'm seeing clients in the afternoon, I stack everything in the sink and then cover it with a plain white plastic tray that is slightly bigger than the sink. Quick and easy and my kitchen looks neat and tidy with no clutter.

I only buy toilet paper and cat food (tins and dry) in bulk and have made storage space for both. Sometimes also frozen veggies (peas and cut corn) but then my fridge top freezer is mostly empty (unless I've been on a soup making spree) so space there is ususally not a problem. Everything else is bought on a weekly basis.

I've sometimes buy carrot cake with cream cheese frosting at my local supermarket. It isn't refridgerated and the label says nothing about storing in the fridge - just says use within 3 days.

For outside pots, paint them with milk or yogurt. It takes a few weeks but then a lovely aged look starts to appear that then develops into a mossy green covering. Looks years old.

Reading all the posts, I can see you've been given some really good advice. I started sewing when I was 14 on my Mom's Singer and then at 21 I was given one of the original Swiss-made Elna's. I still have it several decades later and it still works beautifully. That being said - I never sew anything without also using my overlocker. It gives that nice professional finish to your seams and stops the material from ravelling.

I support KingKathryn's suggestion. Acupuncture works really well in treating allergic reactions.
