It looks like chartreuse. I think the finish (glossy) and the lighting are important here because they really make the color stand out.

The way I see it... if I created a one-of-a-kind object and someone started making and selling something very similar (even if the purpose/function isn't the same), I wouldn't be flattered. I'd be annoyed (and that's an euphemism).

I like the bluestone patio a lot (if you read the article, the bluestone alone cost about $6,000), but the fence cheapens the whole thing a bit. However, the designer probably chose the cheapest fence because it will be covered by climbing plants anyway in a couple of years.

Usual colours: lavender, yellow, blue, red, green, terracotta... Patterns are also important: sunflowers, cicadas, olives (and leaves), etc.

I think a lot of people don't organize their books anyway. They randomly put them on bookshelves. What's wrong with wanting them to look nice as a whole? It doesn't make their content less important, and it certainly doesn't make their owner less intelligent.

I also agree that we usually remember what our favorite books look like, which would make it easier for us to find them.

The concept is a bit like Ikea's, but as far as I know, Fly doesn't manufacture/design their products. Fly is more like a reseller.
