We happened to have a white Besta that went well with the Malm and stacked it on top to add two extra shelves. The dresser was hidden behind a door though, so it didn't have to look amazing.

Ketzel, I think the point is that if you drank out of YOUR glass at 10 AM, it isn't necessary to wash if when you plan to use it again soon. You can set it aside and use it again without worrying about sharing germs. I do this with my glasses in a less formal way - I just give it a good rinse at the end of the night and use it again the next day.

I second the chickpea idea. I recently brought leftover pulled pork, quinoa, and a chickpea-cucumber-tomato-vinaigrette salad to the park and made delicious quinoa bowls. Pulled pork is delicious, even room temp.

I also love a salad of baby spinach, quinoa, tomatoes, avocado, cucumber and chickpeas all together.

I love the idea of a mirror or three round nautical style mirrors - framed in brass (to match your balance scale on the table) and the fedoras over the typewriter on a coat rack.

I always bring veggie side dishes to BBQs since most people tend to focus on the meat-grillins.

I made this raw zucchini and squash salad, and it was a HUGE hit last 4th of July. I was actually shocked by how much http://cookieandkate.com/2013/summer-squash-salad-with-lemon-citronette/

When I don't have time to prep before a BBQ, I love to skewer cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini/squash, bell peppers and onions for the grill - just with salt, pepper and olive oil.

I'm with the breakfast radish crowd! I also love pasta with radishes sauteed in butter - that would be a great dinner option - with a sprinkle of parm and some raw greens like baby kale/arugula.

Most pasta dishes that feature veggies are much better at home. Unless I'm at a great farm-to-table style restaurant, I won't order pasta. They typically don't have nearly enough of the veggies and are overloaded with waaaaay too much butter.

This actually applies to most of the vegetarian meals on a regular restaurant's menu (ie, a pub offering a cauliflower steak, etc). Many restaurants seem to assume that I don't like the flavor of vegetables and need a pound of butter to mask the flavor.

Dry them in the oven to use as air freshener or boil them in water to scent the room.

You could also try slicing them to put in the freezer as tasty ice cubes for water/seltzer/cocktails.

I would go with a custom clay option - the idea of gold leaf sounds nice so it's very decorative or you could paint the entire cabinet.

If you're an adult who likes to drink and doesn't have teenagers in the house, I don't see why this is a problem if it's tasteful (though I wouldn't suggest a mirrored wall of shelves that looks like an actual bar). It's nice not to have to dig through a dark cabinet when you want to make a drink. If you entertain frequently, having a bar cart is very inviting - it encourages guests to help themselves.

I love your yellow with a light blue like this:

If you want to keep a yellow rug with yellow curtains, I'm into this fabric for curtains. It might make the room feel bigger to layer different patterns in the same color if you have all white linens and a small room rather than introducing a new color.

Curtain Colors Suggestions for White Room with Gold Rug? Good Questions
2/5/14 10:02 AM

Honestly, I think it's just a side effect of having to over-expose the windows and under-expose the couch in order to get the photo taken.

I would add a lot of white pillows, add a white coffee table (or paint existing table), paint the walls a very light tan, and layer a light-tan sisal rug under the navy rug.

If the curtains can be returned, a lighter color to match the walls and sisal rug would be helpful - maybe tan with navy borders?
