Who would have thought that little gem was hiding under all that wretched blue paint? Great save!

Nope. There would be an even less likely chance my laundry would get done if I had to actually work out in order for it to happen.

Hmm, I'm from the South as well and I apparently didn't get the memo about waiting for marriage to have other people buy me the good stuff for my house. But I wait for no man! I've got my very own Williams-Sonoma showroom happening up in my kitchen, an upright AND a cordless Dyson parked in the laundry room and a pile of to die for towels in the linen closet.

Wow, I could have never seen past the ugliness of the before to bother taking that home. Awesome save and that shade is perfect with the paint colors.

It's not necessarily deceptive that the appliance costs were not included in the reno budget as those would have likely needed to be purchased regardless. The home did not come with a fridge so even if the owners did absolutely nothing to the kitchen, that was a cost they would have incurred. And depending on the condition of the old stove left behind, that may have been the case there as well.

I'm constantly repainting something in my house and I'd rather have a root canal than tape off a room of trim. Fortunately, I have a very steady hand so I don't need to do so. But I've had rare occasions to use tape and going cheap just isn't going to cut it. It bleeds so all you've done is waste a lot of time and created more work for yourself. Cheap paint isn't worth using either. You will end up using twice as much to get the same coverage... which will require twice the amount of work to apply. I've found that Behr paint from Home Depot to be an ideal product. Great consistency, smooth, excellent coverage... best paint out there. Well, other than Farrow & Ball but I refuse to pay $100+ for a gallon of paint.

Oh, and sample pots usually only come in a flat/matte finish and are often NOT actual paint as they lack a latex binding agent. Therefore, they are most likely "color" samples instead of "paint" samples. Every brand may be different but I know Benjamin Moore uses only color samples. Even if you plan to use the sample in an inconspicuous spot, it's best to make sure your using actual paint.

This is a great concept and I love the color but I can't imagine living with this. A salad bowl sink just doesn't seem practical.

Maybe it's the angle of the photo, but HOW does anyone get into that shower?!? It looks like it's about 6 inches from the toilet and sink.

Well done! The lighter wood between the drawers looks like it was not original and therefore, it's unlikely it could have ever been stained to match the rest of the wood. While the blue color it not my favorite, I like the overall aesthetic and would gladly put a piece like this in my home.

Even people who have ceiling fans hate them but they are an absolute necessity in Texas. A/C alone isn't enough to keep cool down here. And honestly, once you've lived with them for a short while, you hardly notice them anymore... usually only when it's time to dust them.

Just paint it whatever color you want and be prepared to paint it back when you move out. Just make sure to match the current wall color and finish so you'll have it as a reference. That's what I do.

But personally, the current color looks like it will provide a great neutral background for the brightly colored items you've mentioned.
