Hi everyone! Thank you so much for your comments - you've used words to describe the room that I've been searching for :-) Regarding the multi-hued wall, we actually have not painted it - it's the patina of the concrete that projects a different look based on where the sun is in the sky =)

Thank you everyone! @ShannonTaylor - we do have blinds in the bedroom and in the living area, but we're so high up that it doesn't affect privacy :-) Am thinking of installing curtains in the bedroom if we decide to stay here another year. @helanother - I uploaded a few pictures of our home to my Pintrest, so you can see the wall colors:

I love the silver mirror - it's so chic and rustic at the same time. Love mixing metals and woods. When I see something that makes my heart skip a beat, I can't help but wonder who'd leave it behind! (And say a secret thank you, too.)
