I have the Withings scale and I love it. The scale also records your fat % (the manner in which it does this probably isn't the most accurate, but it'll give you a general idea) and displays your resulting BMI.

I also have it linked with dailyburn.com so I don't have to enter my weight in manually. For a numbers/visual person like me, it's great. :)

Agreeing with everyone - so glad this broken down. My fiancee and I just moved and are trying to do so many things at once. Projects to restore the house (1950's bungalow bought from the original owners). Unpacking. Trying to figure out what stays and what goes. Trying to prepare for upcoming family visits in two and four weeks... (Yes, there's a prioritized project list. Let's hope we get that much done.)

This will at least allow me to make a little bit of headway in getting and keeping the house feeling like a home instead of a bunch of half-finished rooms.

The 20/20 Home Cure

We just ordered a new couch today to replace the one we were borrowing from my brother-in-law. Now to schedule a goodwill pickup of the old one before Thursday. Last weekend we completely rearranged the living room and moved the recliner out, which left enough room for a small dining table and two chairs. I love the way everything looks now - amazing how rearranging gives you a new outlook!

Thinking back to the day when it was popular to mount a monitor under your desk so that you looked at it through a piece of glass (anyone else remember seeing this?)...

I've always wished I had a large enough kitchen to give up a drawer and cabinet and mount some type of small computer/terminal under a counter-level piece of glass. With enough forethought, you might be able to have the glass only evident when the monitor is on.

Another option would be some type of pull-down device from under the kitchen cabinets. I think I've seen them for cookbooks. It would keep the laptop a bit more out of the way.

(Can you tell I've thought about this a little too much over the years?) :) Definitely agree with Luxeport that any type of long-term solution would have to allow for ventilation and protection from flying debris.

I've been doing the home cure on my own since I moved in the middle of October, but it looks like I'm right about where everyone else is. I spent the first few weeks on the kitchen. Over the last week in the living room, I arranged the books in our bookshelf, hung a picture above the couch (was going to hang the others, but didn't have any nails handy - the one I hung stuck with velcro strips), and purchased fresh flowers, candles, and hurricane vases. Last night I brought in the chair my sister is loaning me, so I think the living room is about done.

Today I started working on the bedroom. I painted a "headboard" from floor to ceiling. I'm going to hang 3 empty ivory oval picture frames in the space. Beyond that...it's a work in progress.

I'll take pictures and upload them to Flikr. As soon as I find my camera. :)
