Thanks everyone! We soaked steel wool in apple cider vinegar for about 24 hours (if you want it to appear even more aged, let it soak for longer) and brushed the pallet wood with it. Brad mounted plywood to the wall first and nailed the treated pallet planks to that. It was time consuming but well worth it.

He is not a contractor - just very talented. (We are in the decorated apparel / promotional products business.)

Completely agree about the art - We're trying to find the perfect art for the space, this is just what we had lying around.

It's not as dark in person as the picture makes it look.

Looking forward to our next project - our unfinished basement!!
