UPrinting.com. I have done several extremely large photo prints on canvas (think 4' x 6') and they have been very accomodating. They actually have a customer service rep call you about your order. They also do prints on paper and such. Apartment Therapy Chicago | Good Service for Printing Large Format Photos? Good Questions |

Not sure where they got them. I lived in Boston several years back and always loved the design of Audubon. And the great food. Glad to hear it's still going strong. Apartment Therapy Boston | Look! Mystery Metal Pendants at Audubon Circle |

Agreed - go to Panjiayuan - not just for inspiration, but to pick ups some cool antiques and such. I'm sure you can get a simple linen or cotton slip cover made for next to nothing. Buy an oriental rug for the floor (or FLOR tiles, but I don't know if they have those in China. A navy would look nice on the walls - I'm all about enhancing the caviness if it's already cave like. Get some incandescent lighting. And maybe hang back to back scrolls from the ceiling to cover the strange screen. The International Garden Center on Sepulveda in El Segundo has a nice selection. Just don't leave them on the patio outside your apartment. Apparently mine were so nice that a "pot bandit" stole them all over the course of a few months! Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Roundup: 8 Best Places to Buy Garden Pots |

interesting idea. you might even try alternating 1 strip of poster board and the next of 1/2" foam core covered with duct tape - it would give the vertical strips an architectural quality. You might have to velcro the foam core sections to the wall at the top since those would be too thick for the tacks to go in. I dont think it's a problem to hang a pendant or chandelier in a living room as long as it's over the coffee table and the scale works with both the table size and the space. However, that said, I think you already have enough pendants going on in the kitching and dining and another might compete. I would probably just do downlights in that case, or maybe something totally different - like something multi-armed: Apartment Therapy New York | Good Questions: Which Light Fixture for My Living Room? |

Funny - I actually watched This Old House, New Yankee Workshop, Hometime etc non-stop on the weekends in my middle school and high school years. I think the rest of my family thought I was a little nuts. Then after college I actually was able to land a job doing production for Bob Vila's Home Again. It was amazing to be at the shoots, seeing the projects firsthand, and meeting the carpenters who I had previously only seen through the TV screen. It was a great experience right out of school. I have since left and now am an interior designer in LA but those shows had a huge impact on my younger years and probably pushed me into what I do now. How about a navy color or an eggplant or even a muted dark grey - could look really great. It seems like a nice color - although it's hard to tell in the photo if it's more of an orange color or a tan/camel. But I think any of those would work well with it and add a touch of drama. use a rectangular vertical mirror - the round shape fights and use a larger nightstand lamp. also like the idea about a different mirror frame finish. There's too much wood going on. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Good Questions: Feedback on Mirror and Recommendations? |

I would go to an upholstery shop - Actually I'd go to one that specializes in restaurant seating and banquettes. I don't live in SF but you can probably find one through the yellow pages. You can talk to whomever you go with about making the seat openable for storage. If you're doing an ivory color in an eating area I would recommend doing a vinyl like shown in the picture. It's durable and easy to clean. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Good Questions: How to Commission Custom Bench Seating? |

Divine Design. Vern Yip's deserving design is good too as is Color Splash. Agreed that Myles of Style is generally pretty horrible. However, disagree with shlacking's comment. I'm a designer too and not everyone can be designer or hire one and since taste is personal I choose not to be insulted. Rather, glad that at least some design is trickling down to the masses and inspiring people to DIY. Apartment Therapy Chicago | AT Survey: Best of the Home Makeover Shows? |

I agree with some of the comments, but I like the rug - it actually is a good contrast to the 70's stuff. I also like the simplicity of the white lamp and linen shade. I think they would stand out more against a colored wall though. Maybe it's a rental and you can't paint but an eggplant or navy color would look great on the wall.
