Enough with the freaking out about earthquakes!!! An earthquake strong enough to mess with this setup and you'd have ALOT more to worry about than tipped books. Anyone recall Loma Prieta?

I am amused at the arguments back and forth, and since no one has yet mentioned this, I will add to the bickering. Cows raised for milking live their sad, short lives for 3-4 years in the standing-room only stall. They cannot produce industry-paced milk for much longer than this, even with the "assistance" of hormones. Then they are taken to the slaughterhouses to be ground into hamburger! Getting a cow who has not walked or left her stall for her entire milk-producing life onto a shipping truck is not pretty. Chains and fork-lifts are used for the really lame ones. So YES, your dairy cows do eventually become meat cows. I was sad to learn this, too. If you want stomach-turning proof google a video, or find it at the go veg website.

Just use needlenose pliers, people! What's with all the vegetables?

I thought the fix was going to be replacing the cream flip switch and cream outlets with black or stainless. Why not do that?

Yeah, cause the word 'gay' is so funny. Almost as funny as Straight Rd. Thank you, TheGoodBiGirl, for maybe the first appropriate response.

Grits! I was thinking the same thing, HillE. It seems to be a breakfast novelty for folks NOT from the South. Aside, coffee, tea, cocoa, and water in bed is fine. The design of my bed is not conducive to eating in it, however.

Sam, I really like your apartment. I am especially enamoured with the bright blue Astroturf on the patio- the colour REALLY makes the space!

I'm surprised that stipulations for this type of arrangement wouldn't cover damages made by the film crew. Like security and/or cleaning deposits on apartments? Surely they should, in addition to the agreed-upon fee.

Great couch! I'd go for the zig-zag "Missoni" styled rug as allijean compared it to. So many responses are totally ignoring your options of A or B. Go with B! It picks up the grey in the couch. It looks as though you LIKE the neutrals, and thats fine. Your place looks great, and I think the zig-zag rug will enhance it.

Awful pros list, awful cons list. The subject was good, sparking many responses, but the top 5s were so pathetic.

I am married, and my love and I spend random stints of 6 months apart due to work. We look at it as living the best of both worlds. But we appreciate and respect each other's individuality, therefore the 4 pros of living single are things we do when together. Honestly, you can't eat snacks for dinner unless you live alone? Sleeping in, changing clothes... If these things are inhibited by your mate, than your relationship really needs some work!

I use a magnetic tool dish on the fridge. It looks like a steel saucer. I think it was $6 or so, available at most any hardware stores. I was one of those people always searching for their keys.

Mosses are not sterile. Acidic compounds do make an inhospitable environment for bacteria, but they do not "sterilize" the moss.

If you live in a small-ish town (less than 200,000 pop. for my reference) a phone book is still very useful. Not all businesses have internet listings, and a phone book advertisement can provide more information about a particular business than the internet does.

I like the fresh breeze on my face, and I don't believe my bed's location has ever negatively affected my love life.

Side note: what is this bizarre earthquake paranoia so many AT posters seem to have? I have spent at least 30 years of my life 3-28 miles away from the San Andreas fault line. Nobody I know, myself included, decorates homes or ruminates on potential dangers based on an earthquake.
