No shoes in my house and that is how I was brought up, but I still struggle to ask my guests to take their shoes off. As somebody said before, I really don't understand why some guests don't get it. Besides the issue of dust and other messy things, taking the shoes of at the door is a sign of respect in my culture

Tree stump is a great idea but I have yet to see a stump that is not filled with termites. This is the reason people are asked to take out the stumps as they become home to some of these non-paying pesky tenents

It is challenging to read the content or see pictures with such a big Ad on your face. I come to AT for a purpose and throwing Ad on my face seems unnecessary. Hope, AT gets the point. I am not against advertisements, but I don't want to be forced to see one. How many of us like those unsolicitated calls in our home phone.

Hi Steve:

I know it has been a while since you made your posting, but hope you still can answer my questions. Your apartment is "WOW."

You mentioned using Theredesign for architectural help. I had talked to a few architects (including theredesign) but they all made it sound as if they would be responsible for the entire project. Honestly, I cannot afford it so I was wondering how you negotiated hiring architects just for design purpose. Was it an hourly fee or a fixed fee? Thanks.
