Huh, I didn't have any trouble at all putting this together. But then, I'm one of those people who finds it kind of relaxing to have a big pile of boxes from Ikea and an Allen wrench with which to spend an afternoon. I will say that I'm really appreciating the adaptability of this walker. Just as my daughter became obsessed with grocery carts, it was time to change it from the ride-on to the cart (what they call the trolley), and she was so happy to have a semi-brand-new toy.

We have that Ride-on trolley/scooter/pushy thing. We got it from Magic Cabin, where it's called the 1-2-3 Grow With Me. I HIGHLY recommend it. It's pricey ($110), but extremely well made, and changing it from walk-behind to ride-on to shopping cart is easy. I was also very impressed that the whole thing arrived in a flat pack a la Ikea (minimal packaging). It's very well designed, and a definite winner in our household.

We also have a Henry, and for each of our three kids I have done a search on eBay for "vintage sign letter" and looked for a big lovely initial to put on each wall. I did a blog post about it here: http://worldofjulie.com/?p=531 (where you can see photos of the signs I managed to get). Sometimes I'm tempted to go a little nuts with the personalization thing, but I think one big initial is nice, and won't ever be too babyish.

I got the Haba marble run for my 5-year-old for Christmas this year, after he has been desperately wanting this for, oh, his entire life, I think. Any time we go into a toy store with a marble run he is captivated for an hour, and if we get a toy catalog that has one, I always find it carefully circled later on. I did have some worries about choking hazards (I have a 3-year-old and a 6-month-old also), but he wants it so much, I felt like this was the year to get it. I'm pretty excited about it too, myself.

I decided on the Haba one after asking around at some toy stores, and they said the Quadrilla one is more of a pain to put together and easier for kids to mistakenly knock over.

This looks similar to the Bunnytail blanket we have and love. (http://www.bunnytailblankets.com/) It is fleece on one side and waterproof on the other, has a reflective stripe, and, best of all, has snaps, which allow it to be snapped around a baby in a sling or worn like a cape by older kids.

It's great for stroller rides and also for putting down on the damp ground. We lost ours briefly and I was ready to run out and buy another one immediately (luckily, someone left it up on a fence for us...good blanket karma).
