For my taste as a book lover, it's perfect. That's a very good idea with the curtains over the bed - it looks romantic and whimsical, yet serves as a very definite room divider. I tried the Japanese Screens in my small space, and they were good (cheap ones from Ikea) but I think the curtain idea is more versatile and beautiful. The material you chose was also perfect - airy and not quite opaque. Well done!
