We had one that lived around 10 years (it was "retired" when we did a big remodel project and it took up too much room in the entry stairs). It survived several repottings and grew to be about 5 feet tall. The leaves were big- like tobacco, and caterpillars & aphids LOVED it. We were always having to pluck invaders off of it.
