i wonder if those shelves would fit record albums? is it sturdy enough to support that kind of weight? then you could advertise it as a record shelf!!!

my next door neighbor had one of these, in full sun, and he didn't get a SINGLE tomato off of it...while i have three thriving tomato plants in an earthbox (and this year, in an old kettle grill filled with dirt)--which have been relatively prolific with the same conditions.

i think it's sweet. i wonder if you could do it with fabric markers. I also think it would look terrible in my small apt. for some reason.

they use far more. But you only use the microwave for very short bursts, compared to using a stove. So the net result is you save a LOT of energy by using the microwave. I use mine all the time to steam vegetables, heat liquids, reheat leftovers, even make cheese crisps. Most of these jobs are 2 minutes or less, whereas they'd be much more (including water-heating time) on a stovetop or in an oven.

i had a sheepskin flokati and my dog just decided to eat it (and spit it out in little chunks). so that's not a great solution if your dog's a chewer.

which liebherr is it and where did you get it? i'm having a hell of a time finding this one in the NYC area (plus i want it in black, which i'm thinking might be impossible). sigh.
