Chocolate shortbread, tahini & honey cookies , pistachio and stawberry cookies, dense brownies with ganache (you can make chocolate ganache with mint or orange essential oils. You can make butterscotch ganache with butterscotch chips. White chocolate with raspberry extract or even Irish cream! ... and so on.) I make miniature brownies that store well but also they sell bake n take paper pans at king arthur flour for example. I have used the flat round ones for brownies but they would work great for tarts if brownies aren't your thing. Use a shortbread crust and ganache filling!

Good Luck!

I really despise anisey flavors but those look so beautiful!

Thats so cute! I don't have driftwood but since I live in the Poconos I have no shortage of downed sticks after Sandy hit us!

I've become very OCD about tucking things into other things. It's especially important for my beloved Krups tea kettle. My husband likes to flood the counters and I'm afraid one of these days I will wake up and find my water kettle fried and in a puddle!

I can't do pre-ground. Blech! I do love dark, french roast. I roast it, 8 ounces at a time... dark because , well I like it that way. I think lighter coffee is just like light beer, glorified piss water!

I also have the grind n brew. I think it is the best thing EVER. But I don't actually let beans sit in the top of it for long periods. I will fill the water and change the filter the night before but in the morning I open a canister of my home roasted beans and toss just enough in there for that day.

We have a grind n brew' that is pretty amazing. I also roast my own beans :p After watching a few documentaries about coffee I feel a little torn. I have hand grinders, and a chemex set up, but truly beautiful coffee is supposed to steep "four minutes exactly." Every now and then I cold brew but I think I finally need to get a french press! I bet it would work for loose tea too.

I fell in love with authentic za'atar in Israel. The arab breads there are beautiful! Luckily I hoarded back about a pound of the real deal but when I make a seasoning I make it similar to this.

I have this one that I use just for bone broth. It's simple but HUGE. Perfect for cooking two turkey breasts or two roaster chickens. I think using a wet dough is the single best thing you can do. Whole grain breads, homemade especially can be really horrible and dry. A wet, free-form boule is the way to go! I like making dutch oven sourdough because you can just pour it into a pot.
