We got this lamp from IKEA - it is dim and red, so it doesn't disturb our twins, and your eyes don't have to adjust. We've used it since they were born 20 months ago and it's never woken a baby up, or kept a baby up when we used it as a nightlight for a while. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90096102 Oh, and it is crazy cheap. We have the peapod for our twins - there is no way we could travel with two pack n' plays... we used it on a trip when they were 12 months and will use it again for a trip next month when they are 17 months. I'm concerned because now they can stand and walk, which may be an issue, but the first time around they seemed no more disturbed than they were by sleeping in borrowed cribs or pack n' plays when we've traveled other times. I got the Chamois sheeting from Potterybarnkids.com. They are incredibly soft and $29.00 a sheet. They have an ultra-soft velvety texture, but they are polyester if that is an issue for you. I'm surprised that you haven't covered Peapod travel beds. They look like baby pup tents and have an inflatable mattress insert. I recent;y used them traveling to visit family with my one-year-old twins and they were not only a lot less expensive than pack n' play style cribs (which I have) but they were also waaaaaaaay more compact and lightweight. The boys did as well in them (lets all just admit that babies find traveling disorienting) as they have in the pack n' plays and they saved me major packing/crib renting headaches. It could be either color - or it could be that the image was color-corrected and that wall paint doesn't really exist. I love the lions the most! My husband and I are expecting twins and both of us had old-fashioned wooden toys when we were little (I actually had a rocking wooden lion - like a rocking horse - that my grandfather made), so we would love to have them for our babies! We have mice in our weekend house - unavoidable in rural areas, really - our neighbors laughed at us when we asked how to totally get rid of them. We've done the steel wool, the dryer sheets, etc., but it's impossible to find every tiny place they can get through. So, once or twice a month we put out snap traps to discourage them. We found that if we put traps out all the time, we caught nothing. If we staggered when we put them out, it would be a sudden mouse massacre and their activity would drop at least for a little while. I recommend alternating cheese and peanut butter in the snap traps. Just make sure that it is tightly packed into the trap so that they have to disturb the trap to get to it. Good luck!
