My favorite as a kid was plain soft serve vanilla with chocolate sprinkles -- as an adult, I still find I love the same flavour of the vanilla and chocolate mixing but I appreciate it much more now that I used to.

Etsy has these great decals that are safe to put up and easy to put down for renters, that could spruce the place up color wise and, if you get one custom made(just search for wall de cals, you'll find someone)you could cover the fridge up entirely. I usually use mascarpone in fruit tarts...Add a little cinnamon and sugar and bake in a tart shell and place berries on top. A simple dessert but really tasty and can look incredibly elegant.

My favorite way is by using my rotisserie. The skin comes out the perfect amount of crispy and the juices make the chicken to die for. It takes just the 5-10 minutes to season and tie it up(instead of twine, Target sells these great silicone rubber bands!) and its done in little more than an hour. I shred up the chicken and put it in wraps, pasta salads, etc etc throughout the week.

I always use up peppers when sauteeing up some chorizo. Throw in some onions, throw it over pasta, you have a great dinner. Throw the pepper/onion/chorizo mixture on some bread and its a great lunch.

Cucumbers and tomatos (as people have said) make for a great simple salad or dip them in some salad dressing as a snack. I make a simple shrimp tomato and cucumber salad with salt and pepper and its always a hit.
