I live in a studio apartment full of 20something year olds - except my neighbor who's well into his 30s and obviously grumpy about living in a hip studio apartment building - every time I make ANY noise he pounds his fist on my wall really loudly...this includes me putting up a shelf at 2pm on a saturday! really dude, but what other time is more appropriate for putting up a shelf than 2pm on a saturday! geez! now i walk on eggshells...i even take my heels off when I get home so he doesnt throw a fit about that. i hate it.

so who's knocking off who's idea? isnt this an awful lot like the jonas and jonas wallflower series? in either case, i still like it...if i can get a purchasing contact on either I'd be so happy!

I bought the credenza in black and I love it! The door can be adjusted so that they sit nice and straight, and the drawer slides are good quality. You cannot interchange the location of doors/drawers easily though, but that was ok for me. I thought about wallpapering the drawers, but decided against it, and still love it.
It is the only full IKEA piece I have in my studio (curtain rods too) and I vowed not to buy IKEA, but couldnt resist. At 160 pounds it is lots of metal (incl. the legs and base trim) and very sturdy, so I hope it lasts!

Don't try to paint it though...I tried to paint some IKEA shelves once, and even with sanding them first the paint just peeled right off their factory finish. Don't try it.
