Thank you for that detailed and authentic point of view. I am sure most readers only see the silver lining.

While the boxes are beautiful and helpful, sending baby boxes out to a population of 300 million here in the US seems a little far fetched. That's why we have baby showers! The U.S.A. will never function like Finland so lets just all try to help each other when we can. I am looking forward to a box of gently used hand-me-downs from a good friend after the birth of my second baby in January. So see, we get boxes here too.

why even go there sososo? This is a GREAT room. I LOVE the mural and the screen door is a super smart resolve to the feline issue!

I am not sure that a distressed look = lazy construction. I like this bed and can see it working well in an eclectic bedroom with a boho vibe, of a sweet shabby chic space juxtaposed with a pretty little chandelier.

robinm- you should have seen the glider before! I did my best to create a slipcover for the very standard white wood glider that we inherited. I did not want to invest much in the slipcover materials as I don't see the piece sticking around for the "long haul". The Dressers are CL finds, the lamp from ebay, and the bunny artwork I painted a few years back. Thanks for your comments!
