I have beautiful oak parquet floor, but now after moving in I have caused many scratches, I use swiffer dry and also wet ones. Now I bought bona and clean them by hand. Using a damp mop and just a spray of bona. I don't know how the previous owners managed to keep it looking like new. I am struggling here. And I also do not know how often should I mop. I am guessing everyday isn't a good idea.:( Reader Tip: The BEST Way to Clean Wood Floors |

We tried cleaning our bath tub drain with one of those cheap snakes (no#4 in the pic) and the velcro end of it got stuck inside and came off and all we could pull out was its wire. Now it is even more clogged. Very bad idea, since our drain stopper is kind of mechanical, we can't even remove it on our own. Will have to call a plumber :(. Homekeeping Essential: Drain Augers |

PLOUEFF and RENEWBEE.. Well said! It is certainly not a '5 minutes' job or a '2 minutes' to clean it with vinegar and water n rag. I have high ceilings and it is not only awkward (I am 5'8) to get on top and clean the cabinets but also dangerous. I'd rather line the top with paper or cloth to protect. I have maple cabinets and the grease and dust is not just 'wipe and clean', it is way too difficult than than, I clean it every week still it is sticky and dusty and not only the tops, I have discovered that my inner shelves and containers are also sticky. I tried scrubbing when I first moved in , it took so long and was such a painful task. Along with the grease, it only took away the polish off the cabinets. So I line all the inner shelves right above the cook top with paper and will also cover the tops. Great idea! Homekeeping Tip: Keep The Tops Of Your Cabinets Clean with a Kitchen Staple |

BAM!!! Now it hit me... I have been thinking of what to use in order to decorate my walls, and didn't want run of the mill pictures that I couldn't relate to. Now I know what I really want. I will definitely use an old (vintage?) map of my home town or Brooklyn and Paris(I love....who doesn't?) and Rome! I just love the old days and it's remnants and stories. Makes me nostalgic, as if I was born during that time. Thanks! Sophie & Nick's Colorful Victorian Townhouse House Tour |

I always slept on white bedsheets and still do. My mom managed it with kids and a business and I am sure I can do it too, now I am so used to it that I can't sleep on dark bedding. It has to be light in colour. Minimalist Bedroom Inspiration for a Spring Cleaning Mindset |

I hate the grime and grease that collects over my kitchen cabinets and even the cans and containers inside are sticky, I have to wipe them every night before sleeping. Such a pain, wish I could do something about it. I cook everyday at home, may be that's the problem. A Floor-to-Ceiling Guide to Spring Cleaning |

I would love some help here, I have maple cabinets and white subways tiles, the kitchen paint is dull, blue and it looks sickly grey at night, like in an old photograph but not at all charming or vintage. I would love a bright colour, like yellow or green that would not make me feel lethargic and bored in the kitchen. Will the yellows or greens look good?
