I kicked the habit myself after attempting this about 5 times. The headaches, lethargy, fatigue...oy. It was hell the first 3 days, but after the 5th time, I'm officially off the addiction but will enjoy a cup every once in a while. It's Official: Caffeine Withdrawal Is a Mental Health Disorder |

I f-king love this idea! I originally wanted to set up a bar cart because it felt more 'grown up,' never mind the fact that I rarely drink. But a coffee cart? It's the best way to start the day, especially if your BF makes coffee before you wake up. :o) Forget the Cocktail Cart: Try an Espresso Cart Instead! Small Space Living |

@Spencer: Great suggestion! I'm currently looking at a place and didn't consider that. On occasion, I've visited a potential place a few times to check out the vibe. To be sure, it changes between day and night. 10 Tips for Knowing When to Walk Away from the \"Perfect\" Place Renters Solutions |

Funny that you mention Mark's hour tour. I spent nearly an hour the other night, looking for the link! I finally Googled, 'pastry chef house tour,' and his link showed up first. His design and color combination was so inspiring that it was worth the 1 hour search. How To Confidently Choose Paint Colors: Mark's Foolproof Methods |

Whoa! Totally unexpected! My untrained eye didn't see the light at the end of the tunnel but Big Sister sure did. This is just lovely. I love the color on the walls. Really brightens up the place and makes it inviting. Enjoy your stay in NY, sister. Before & After: Samna Transforms a Studio in 5 Days |

Get this, I didn't even hear about 'Homeland' until I discovered it on vacation. When I got home, I watched the whole first season - twice in two weekends. Since then, I've been a fan of binge viewing. For one thing, an 'hour-long' episode is usually 40 minutes long; the rest are 20 minutes' worth of commercials. I can cut through 20 minutes and watch exactly what I ordered, which is the show itself. How Viewing Marathons Are Changing the Way We Experience TV The New York Times |

Bison65, thanks for pointing that out. I read both the NYT article and the WSJ one that pointed to the private equity firm (chop shop) that was responsible for the turnaround at Hostess. These were well-rounded articles that pointed to the roles of both the firm and the union. I Heart Hostess: An Appreciation for the Fallen Snack Cake Guest Post |

I LOVE this list! Usually around Halloween, I start to get a little antsy because of all the holiday expectations around the corner. This puts a bright, lovely spin on how I can better spend my time. And, because the sun is out here in CA, I think I will take a hike! Amazingly, the 'bottom' of the SF Bay Area is just 15 minutes away, so I'll spend my time there today after work, which ends at noon. 10 Ways to Keep the Holiday Blues Away |

Charming rental! Seriously, where are all the rentals that are like this? Would like to move into one. When I saw the mugshots in the kitchen, my first reaction was, 'Dude...' But it has a uniqueness about it. Love the light and airy space. Natalie and Kevin's Perfect Parkdale Perch House Tour |

The first time I went to STL, I fell in love, completely head over heels in love. I stayed in Central West End, and it's still my favorite jaunt. STL truly is a design lover's city, even a foodie's city. My favorite cupcake (is anyone still into cupcakes) place is Jilly's. It has the BEST red velvet cupcake ever. I tried having some shipped to California (where I live), but they don't ship. Oh well, that means I must go back to STL for more cuppies and culture!!
