I know this well. I had been reciprocating stayovers with friends who pass thru my state on the way to and from Maine to Florida. On one of their trips my father was in the hospital and I needed to be with my family. It was quite difficult to convince them it was bad timing, and no hard feelings. Normally, they are a lovely couple...

I did this immediately when I moved into my apartment. As a dog owner, I needed a hand-held shower massage to bathe mister Labrador. This is absolutely correct - I dated a plumber, once, so I already knew the tricks!

By the way, I think that is mache in the picture, not watercress... ;)

Here are directions for growing watercress inside from leftover stems:

I would not recommend using the stems in stock as they have a strong peppery flavor that will overpower the other flavors.

Get a dog - he made me straighten up everything before I go to work. If not, he will either eat it or lay on it while I'm away. As for "airing out", if you get the night sweats like I do, it makes a LOT of sense.

I was roommates with my sister when we both went back to college for a second carreer. HER pet peeve was my ruining her Freecell stats when I played her game. I'm sure there we other things, since she is easily annoyed, but that was the first to come to mind.

Your next question should be about plants. I have a north-facing living room, and have killed all but one plant, the mother-in-law's tongue. I used to hate both the name and appearance, but now he has stuck by me for 5 years...

The Libman recommendation is great! I have one, and I use my own solution and washable mophead. The Swiffer is just a money-eating machine with the disposable products you have to keep buying. It's fine on my linoleum floors.

I have a Lab-mix rescue and love him to death! He is VERY high energy, and I am greatful that my complex has a dog yard, so he can get his frisbee on! We we walk every day, but it is never enough to tire him out. My apartment is a first floor, so the first and last "go" of the day are easy out the patio door. I keep a package of wipes on the back patio, because I have carpet and muddy feet are an issue. Study your life and let the rescues know that you can accomodate your puppy, if you just get creative.
