FYI - I voted on the main AT page with noproblems. Then when I clicked into the link (not sure the terminology here..) to view the full article, I was able to vote again, and the count went up by one.

I just verified that your answer was only recorded in the system once...the counter may have gone up because someone else voted in the time that you re-voted. Rest assured, a user's answers are only recorded once per survey.

you can vote again if you delete your cookie or switch browsers, but your vote only actually registers once in the system...you'll notice that the answer count does not increase.

So what I am now wondering about the new comments system is how does it filter out "people" like sleekspace who is basically spamming all over now? I almost went to check out the site the first time they posted and then realized from their profile that the only thing they are doing on here is posting random sites. Is this going to be a regular thing?

this user and their comments have been removed...

Also, why are there two links to everyone's profile in every comment? The username link and the "view so-and-so's profile" link go to the same place.

many people did not realize that the link on the user's name was a link to their profile, so we added the addition text to help people find their way.

may I suggest that people who post the first comment on a thread post two, so that the first one shows up on the index page?

They say the water in New York is some of the best drinking water in the country, but I have to agree that the pipes in your own home can cause a potential hazard. Yet, you can have your water tested, and this probably makes the most sense before putting out money for a filter you may not need.

Hey Mark - is there any way it could say at the top of the page how many posts there are on a thread, so we don't have to scroll all the way down to see if there are any new posts?

I still just get the "enter your zip code" option, which doesn't work for city selection if you don't live in the USA. Just in case there's supposed to be something else and this is a bug rather than a poor usability choice, I'm using Firefox v2.0 under Linux.

we are working on an other location field option...should be up soon.
