When researching for renovation I went around scratching samples with my fingernail. You get the best answers that way.Wicanders cork was very appealing/quite durable but expensive so I got a deal on bamboo(strand) for half the house. it doesnt show any scratches in 2 years now. The living room, well I refinished the maple and the small dog runs around after toys alot and scratches it as he slides. The kitchen floor helps slow him down. It is Allure, a grey bamboo pattern, a recycled, easy to install yourself product with texture and fantastic durability. The dog porch has a basic gold and brown flecked carpet which is great for capturing the snow and dirt. I think all of us with dogs should have a dog porch!
