I LOVE making my own deodorant! It's healthy, cheap, quick, customizable and effective. I use coconut oil, baking soda, arrowroot powder (similar to corn starch), tea tree oil and various essential oils. I wing it on the ratios every time to get the consistency I want, but it's basically 50/50 wet to dry ingredients. I like to use lavender essential oil in the winter and rosewood and bergamot essential oils in the summer (like black tea). I do find I can't use too much tea tree or baking soda or else I get irritated, and too much coconut oil makes it too thin (I store it in an old Lush black pot, because I can't quite get it to solidify in a stick applicator). I LOVE all of this! I'd also like to know where the wooden digital clock is from, and the woven felt coaster in the bedroom. And the cushion on the Bertoia chair - is that bought or handmade (knit or crochet)? It's all so clever and beautiful!
