I would use a caramel or chocolate sauce. Also, I would write it on the serving tray versus the cake. That way should you make any errors you can simply wipe off the plate.

Here in Ottawa, Canada Friday treated us to a Winter storm so in an effort not to be too bummed out I am using it as an excuse to cook up the last of my my Winter staples. Cream of Broccoli soup, and for a little extra flare Roasted Garlic Mac N Cheese using some Beemster XO as a treat. And probably some guilt ridden brownies :)
Happy Cooking!

I agree with Ambitious, I use it for "sticky sweet" ribs (with honey). You can turn up the heat for your liking by adding hot sauces, pepper sauces chilis etc. I also use it for dipping my gyozas in. I find it tastier than a regular soy mix.

My roommate and I often had the same problem. We've figured out big pots are the way to go for both cost, and time. We often make Chili, Pastas (Ragu/Bolognese), a whole roast chicken is great too (dinner for a night, and then shred the remainder for chicken salad).

Your best bet is either to divide tasks (one preps, one cooks) or to alternate days. Especially if your kitchen is like most rentals we've all suffered through - small, boxing, poorly laid out.

I have two of these beauties is two separate sizes. I reinforced the tops of both with some 2x4s, One is a record holder/end table and the other is an amazing tv stand. Inside I've organized all the additional/back up cables, and dvds.

I've had these for years, and I will never get rid of them. I hope you get to keep yours for a long while.
